We take pride in growing fresh, healthy, delicious vegetables in a way that enhances the land and community. The only soil ammendments we use are lyme (to raise the pH), composted cow manure, and straw, newspaper, and cardboard mulch. We refrain from using pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, synthetic fertilizers, or sprays of any kind – even those that are allowed in “organic” practices.
So are the veggies organic?

Red Ace beets.
Customers frequently ask if our vegetables are organic. For a variety of reasons, we have chosen not to pursue organic certification, even though our practices meet – and often exceed – organic requirements. We strive to form open, authentic relationships with our customers so that they can judge for themselves whether our foods stand up to their ethical, environmental, and aesthetic concerns.
What kinds of veggies do we grow?
Our garden features over 100 varieties of vegetables and fruits! We plant a mix of standard and heirloom seeds so that our CSA shares and farmers’ market tables are never dull.
